Widely recognised as the largest secular observance in the world, Earth Day is marked by more than a billion people every year as a day of action to change human behaviour and create global, national and local policy changes.
The Leaders Summit on Climate is taking place today and will hopefully mark some kind of end to a particularly uncertain period of environmental policy.
At a more local level, the events sector is also emerging from its own period of uncertainty. As larger events begin to reappear (kicking off with the Brit Awards next month) we could see the start of a shift towards greener ways of doing things.
Industry big-hitters including Coldplay and Massive Attack have pledged greener, even carbon-negative tours in the future and demand for environmentally friendly branding has been becoming more and more prevalent.
