RIP Campsite Branding For VIP Nation

VIP Nation came to Sunbaba looking for alternatives to the branding solutions they had used in previous years for Download Festival. After a detailed discussion of the issues they had experienced thus far and on the back of our extensive experience in the Music Festival sector, we confidently proposed a series of recommendations regarding their branding choices this year.

Download Festival, ‘the world’s premier rock event’, consistently boasts the genre’s biggest names including Black Sabbath, Slipknot and Metallica. This year, VIP Nation’s festival welcomed an attendance increase of 25% from two years ago to an impressive footfall total of 110,000. Their infrastructure requirements expanded accordingly which had to be factored into our recommendations.

We agreed that their Heras fence branding would benefit from a change in material and settled on Polyester Vestaweave: a durable, environmentally friendly and light-weight alternative. Sunbaba provided VIP Nation with two full-sized printed samples to display the superior print quality and demonstrated how they were easier to install than the PVC Mesh they had been using previously.

We made thorough checks against their existing equipment to ensure the best possible finish for their flags and banners, a process which led to the choice of triple-layered double-sided flags that could be securely held up with the crossbar on their festival scaffold flag poles. Sunbaba sent accurate proofs at every stage detailing how these products would seamlessly carry over designs, as well as integrate with their existing equipment and ensure that everything would fit perfectly on site.
